Robert Pattinson’s Hair Through the Years - The star is just as famous for his ever-changing locks as he is for his "Twilight" role. At one point in "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn -- Part 1," Jessica (Anna Kendrick) calls everybody's favorite vampire heartthrob, Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), "the hair." Since Edward's generous coif is at least as recognizable as his sparkly mug and otherworldly gaze, the moniker is fitting.

Catherine Hardwicke, director of the first "Twilight" movie, originally wanted Edward to sport dreadlocks. Pattinson told Yahoo! Movies he even did a test shoot with the Rasta-inspired 'do but ended up telling the director that the dreads just didn't work. So he worked with the hairstylists on the set and came up with his trademark wild, windblown look.

In real life, however, Pattinson seems to favor having his hair either down and shaggy or up and spiky, seemingly depending on the amount of product he has on hand. Check out the gallery below for photos of RPattz's hair over the years.
