Kelly Osbourne hurt head dancing - Kelly Osbourne’s recent head injury was from a dance floor mishap, her mother Sharon has confirmed. The Fashion Police co-host, 27, tweeted on Sunday that she had “cracked” her head open while in Miami to attend a casting call for Madonna's clothing line Material Girl.

But it was down to her mother Sharon to reveal the details of Kelly’s injury and how it actually happened.

Former Dancing With The Stars contestant Kelly was partying at a club when the injury occurred, the Osbourne matriarch revealed on her chat show.

“The guy takes her down to dip her, and as he dips her down, she hits her head on an amplifier,” Sharon said on The Talk yesterday. “It split her head open.”

Kelly went to her hotel after the incident but fainted twice so was then taken to a hospital.

She received stitches to the gash and was told she was suffering from concussion. She is now back home in Los Angeles recuperating.

Kelly tweeted her thanks to the medical team who helped to look after her.

"I just want 2 thank all the incredible doctors and nurses @ Mercy hospital in Miami 4 taking such good care of me," she wrote. "U guys really are amazing (sic)!"
