Justin Bieber To Take DNA Test, File Lawsuit Against Mariah Yeater
Justin Bieber To Take DNA Test, File Lawsuit Against Mariah Yeater - Teen heartthrob Justin Bieber isn’t going to wait for a court mandated paternity test to prove he’s not the father of Mariah Yeater’s baby, instead he has decided to take a DNA test immediately.
Representatives for Justin Bieber have been adamant about the singers innocence going so far as to call Yeater’s claim “bullsh*t” when asked if there was any chance that Justin could be the baby’s father.
Futhermore it’s now believed that Justin Bieber will send his legal team after Yeater once the test comes back negative. Bieber is also not expected to hire any old lawyer to get the job done, recently hiring famed attorney Howard Weitzman who is arranging the DNA and will then file a lawsuit the second the results are delivered.
According to TMZ:
“Yeater’s lawyers appeared “nervous” when they heard the news. This may explain why Yeater’s lawyers went underground yesterday…”
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Bieber’s reps plan to file a lawsuit, after the story broke Bieber’s publicist released the following statement:
“While we haven’t yet seen the lawsuit, it’s sad that someone would fabricate, malicious, defamatory and demonstrably false claims.”
“We will vigorously pursue all available legal remedies to defend and protect Justin against these allegations.”
In the meantime Justin Bieber has been busy attending the MTV European Music Awards with Selena Gomez, his girlfriend who also happens to be hosting the awards ceremony.
In other Mariah Yeater news court documents in Las Vegas have shown that the San Diego resident must appear in a Las Vegas court after a bench trial was issued for a Dec. 12 misdemeanor battery charge. According to court records Yeater accused another male of fathering her child before Bieber, at that time the male denied he was the father and Yeater began hitting him in the face repeatedly until she was handcuffed and arrested.
Here’s a mugshot from Yeater’s Las Vegas arrest:
Bieber isn’t the first celebrity to be hit with a paternity lawsuit however his response has been much more pointed. In the past Keanu Reeves, Marc Anthony and Chris Rock have all taken paternity suits that have proven they did not father children when accused. It hasn’t all been happy results for Hollywood’s elite, Eddie Murphy was found to have fathered a child with Spice Girl Melanie Brown.
Even if Beiber is found to be the baby’s father Yeater could still see her day in court since the then 19-year-old would have committed statutory rape by having sex with Bieber who would have only been 16-years-old at the time.
In the meantime Bieber appears to be allowing himself to stay distanced from the controversy while his legal team works, several days ago Bieber Tweeted:
“So Im going to ignore the rumors…and focus on what is real. an opportunity to help by doing what i love. Judge me on the music! Love yall!”
Perhaps an expensive lawsuit from the Bieber legal team will make more fame seeking people think twice before they throw around accusations without any immediate proof. Do you think Bieber is smart to sue Yeater in the event that he’s not the father?
